4 On the opposite end of the city, the West Campus Master Plan for New Jersey City University is beginning to take form. The $400 million, 22-acre development, known as University Place Boulevard, will include four mixed-use projects with student and faculty housing, shopping and parking—part of a vision to create a “college town” feel in an urban setting. Claremont Companies of Far Hills partnered with Hampshire Com- panies for the first two phases, a total of 330 luxury apartments, 20,000-square-feet of retail space and 350 structured parking stalls. Construction Pros of NJ has been contracted to work on both projects.
